What is a Book Club Bag?
Your book club or dissicussion group can borrow a Book Club Bag. Each bag contains 8 copies of one book and a binder of information.

Are these books also available in other formats?
Many of the titles are also available in Large Type or Audio
format. Please check the Library Catalogue or ask the Reference Librarian.
 
How long can I keep the bag once I check it out?
Patrons may borrow the book club bag for a period of 6 weeks.
 
How many bags can I borrow at one time?
A patron can only borrow one book club bag at a time.
 
Where do I pick up and return the bag?
All bags must be checked-out and returned at the Reference Desk. Please do not put bags in the Drop Off Box.
 
Can I reserve book club bags in advance?
If you reserve a book club bag, you have two days to come and pick it up. If you have trouble reserving an item or don't know how, please call the Library and ask to speak with the Reference Department, one of our Librarians can assist you. You may also send us an email at reference @ cotesaintluc.org
 
Can I return a bag that is missing material?
No. All material must be included in the bag (8 books + 1 binder) when it is returned. A bag that is missing a book will not be accepted.
 
What happens if I loose or damage a book?
If a book is lost or damaged, patrons have a choice of either replacing the book or paying for it. If the patron chooses to replace a book it must be the exact same copy (i.e. trade paperback) and it must be replaced within 2 weeks. Please note that overdue fines will be accrued until the item is replaced. Contact the Reference Department immediately and inform us as to the situation.
 
What happens if I loose or damage the entire book club bag?
If an entire kit is lost or damaged, you will be charged total replacement costs (8 books, binder and bag), as well as a processing fee. Contact the Reference Department immediately and inform us as to the situation.
 
What is the late fee?
Overdue fines are 1$ per day/per bag ( there is no maximum).
