Book Club Day at the Library

Printer Friendly Version

The Eleanor London Cote Saint-Luc Public Library is pleased to make The Natural History Museum Room available to book clubs as a place to hold their discussions. A few simple rules apply:

  • The room can only be booked on Thursdays

  • A group representative should present themselves at the Reference Desk where the Librarian will verify the reservation sheet and the person’s library card
  • Groups must consist of no more than 12 people maximum
  • Noise levels must be kept to a minimum as the room is located directly beside a Reading Lounge and it is not sound proof
  • The doors to the room must be kept closed while the book club is in session
  • The person who booked the room must be present at each session and is ultimately held responsible for the condition of the room and the behaviour of those present
  • Food is allowed, however Management asks that it be brought into the library discreetly, as the consumption of food is not generally allowed within the library
  • The library will NOT provide any of the following: food, beverages, cups, utensils, napkins or plates etc.
  • Once the group is ready to leave all garbage should be thrown away and the room left neat and tidy.
  • The last time slot of the day ends at 9:45 p.m.

To make a reservation, please call the Library and ask to speak with a Reference Librarian.
