| Holocaust Remembrance Day | |
| The observance of Holocaust
Remembrance Day was established in 1952 by the Knesset (Parliament) of
the State of Israel. It is a national memorial day and public holiday
in Israel, commemorating the six million Jews who perished in the Holocaust.
It is held on the 27 Nisan (April/May). This year it is being held on
Sunday, May 1st, 2011. |
