Artist's Statement

The reason we have dreams, and their interpretation, changes with time, but also with culture. If we observe why we dream today, we could say that humanity has created an immense divide between itself and the irrational. As a result, our consciousness forces our irrational thoughts into the world of dreams. In dreams, these irrational thoughts appear as symbolic images filled with significant messages. The focus of my photographic work is to explore these dream-like images and their rich symbolism.
