Artistic Approach

While driving across the desert through Arizona’s and California’s tarred tracks, man’s only oases are the occasional shabby motels or gas pumps where the ochre landscape overwhelms the constraints of confinement. I wanted to bear witness to this by sublimating and refining my photographs to give them a dream-like quality. In turn, encounters with these ancient mythical landscapes leave a lasting imprint of grace.

Biography

Martin started his photography career as a Photoshop retoucher for Jean-François Gratton, one of Montreal’s most famous advertising photographers. This position gave him the opportunity to interact with the best artistic directors in a creative and stimulating setting, while experimenting with the technological revolution of digital imaging.

He is currently an associate photographer at Shoot Studio, which is comprised of a solid team specialized in commercial photography. His photographer’s work is tinted with digital interventions, either
as coloration or illustrative photomontage. This special signature has enabled him to rapidly secure interesting advertising mandates. By transposing the passion for illustration into his own images, he intends to draw upon those technical skills to better serve his art.
