Each year the Conseil des arts de Montréal awards a Grand Prize to cultural organizations working in Media Arts, Visual Arts, Cinema, Dance, Literature and Music. In addition to the monetary prize, the winner in each category receives a limited addition print by a selected visual artist. This exhibit brings together the nineteen artworks which have been awarded since the creation of the prize in 1985. Like the pages of a scrapbook, the works in this collection represent a slice of the artistic history of the city of Montreal over the past twenty years.
