  • In order to use the Adult computers, one must be a member of the library and be 17 and over. Persons younger than 17 are not permitted in the Computer Room.
  • The member must present his/her card to the staff at the Audiovisual Service Counter and be logged onto the computer by a staff member. No one will be allowed to use a computer without a staff member signing them on.
  • The member who reserved the computer must remain in the Computer Room at all times. If they bring another person with them and the other person is found alone, the reservation will be cancelled s/he will be asked to leave the computer immediately.
  • No more than two (2) people may be on any computer at one time.
  • Library staff will provide members with basic computer assistance only. Those wishing more in-depth instruction are encouraged to consult the library’s computer books.
  • Any deliberate act causing damage to the computer equipment or to the installed software will result in the loss of library privileges. Costs for repairing or replacing damaged equipment will be charged to the user.
  • Disruptive behavior in the Computer Room will not be tolerated. Such behavior includes but is not limited to: talking, use of cell phones, bothering other patrons, fighting, and eating. Any person found to be disruptive will be asked to leave the Computer Room immediately. Repetitive disruptive behavior will result in the loss of computer privileges.
  • The library is not responsible for information or lost during power failures or brown-outs. We cannot guarantee that you will be able to make up your reservation time.
  • The library is not responsible for the information lost or damage to diskettes
  • The IT personnel are not available for public consultation.
  • The Reference Librarians administer access to the computers according to the current rules that have been approved by the library’s management. If a member does not respect these policies, the Reference Librarian may decide to interrupt his/her session or refuse access to the computers.
