The Library has materials, equipment and services which can help persons with disabilities access information and entertainment. These include:

 

Books on Audiocassette and Compact Disc:

The library has many fiction and non-fiction titles.

CCTV:

The library has a closed-circuit television which people can come in and use to help them read books, magazines or even phone bills or letters.

Easy Readers:

The library has a collection of books designed for people who may be learning disabled, second language learners or even someone looking for a quick read.

Large Print Books:

A large selection of fiction and non-fiction titles are available.

Large Print Periodicals:

We subscribe to the large print version of the New York Times and Reader's Digest. They are located in the Magazine lounge.

Music on Audiocassette and Compact Disc:

A wide selection of music is available.

Online and Telephone Renewal of materials:

Renewal of borrowed items may be done from home via the Internet or by calling the library's special phone line at 514-485-8933. Please have your library card and the item available.

Reading Pen:

Learning disabled, second-language learners and the visually impaired may use our reading pen in the library. The device will scan text and then read it out loud.

Our reference librarians can help you find the information and materials you want.

Shut-In Home Delivery Service:

The library offers a home delivery service to Côte Saint-Luc library members who are unable to come to the library due to various reasons. The service operates Monday through Thursday from 8:30-12:30.
