Dear Members,
I am extremely privileged to be able to serve you in the capacity of Director at the best library on the island of Montreal, the Eleanor London Côte Saint-Luc Public Library. We are truly pleased to be at the heart of the Côte Saint-Luc community and to contribute so greatly to the lives of our residents.
The past year has been extremely exciting: we underwent massive renovations, celebrated the 40 th anniversary of the library, opened a café, modernized our look and launched a new website. We got WiFi, more public computers, and a study room that you can book. Always searching for ways to save our customers time, we created an outdoor return bin, and added several features in our online catalogue, including email courtesy notices and the freezing of reserves for when you’re on vacation.
This year promises further innovations and an amazing range of new programs and services. Here are some of the things you should watch for in 2007:
- Adult Volunteer Program
- Service to Book Clubs
- Reader’s Advisory and personalized Reader Roadmaps
- Friday Night at the Movies
- Parenting Corner
- Côte Saint-Luc Reads
Our staff is dedicated to giving you a great experience every time you visit. Feel free to contact us at 514-485-6900 with any ideas, comments or questions, or email me at tabramovitch@cote-saint-luc.qc.ca.
Warmest Regards,
Tanya Abramovitch, M.L.I.S, M.A.
